BHI Conservancy

The Bald Head Island Conservancy plays a huge role in protecting so much of what makes BHI special. They’re a nonprofit focused on preserving the island’s natural environment—from the sea turtles and maritime forest to the wildlife, beaches, and waterways. They are protecting the island for the sake of conservation; they’re also helping educate residents and visitors about the incredible ecosystem that’s right around us. It’s a big part of why BHI still feels so natural and unique, and why it’s important for all of us who enjoy the island to understand and support their work.
